Real Men eat Ice Cream

All of us have our own peculiarly distinct comfort foods.

Mine is simple enough... cholesterol-laden fried chicken dripping with oil and dollops of whipped potato drizzled heavily with creamy gravy somehow or rather reminds me of lazy evenings back at home with my family... that homemade peanut butter and jelly sandwich brings back nostalgic memories of teabreaks at school...

Charming Calvin has his ice-cream.

Abs and ice cream
Lick me!

Seriously. Don't even think of getting in between Calvin and his ice-cream! The guy with the insatiable sweet tooth is truly madly deeply in love with his ice-cream confections - and nothing gets in his way ( he's taking lessons in painful evisceration from me )! Not satisfied with the boring run-of-the-mill flavours such as vanilla and chocolate, he goes for the most peculiar flavours from black walnut to strawberry cheesecake ( you guys can already guess what a dull conservative guy like me would favour ). Fortunately the man is no snobby elitist and he's quite as satisfied with fast economical sundaes at McDonald's as he is with that slow orgasm-inducing bite of Dulce de Leche at Haagen Dazs.

For those who assume that all we do is take naked showers ( to conserve water! ), cannibalize at Chili's and shop endlessly at IKEA, you'll be glad to know that we have expanded our repertoire somewhat :) It has become almost a routine to round up our evening dinners with a quick stop at one of the above - where Calvin licks and slurps his way through the latest cone while I try to distract myself from leaping over to lick him in public by discreetly checking out the various Middle Eastern hotties that have recently hit town ( I do point out a few Arabian gems to him too ).

Seems like it's going to be another month of endless ice-cream though since Calvin has to make up a sizeable quota for a membership card with the guys at Haagen Dazs. There goes the diet.

I confess incitement to Häagen-Dazs - on numerous occasions la. :o)

Um, not many people take clothed showers, do they? Unless they're doing the laundry at the same time, heh.

And who is that guy in the pic? Yummy. ;oP

Haagen Dazs is the most expensive Ice-cream here (when I was in BBA, the Haagen Dazs is called super premium brand).

The only place I could afford to open my wallet to, is at Swensen :p I guess I can't just stomach the fact that what they price at Haagen Dazs cost as much as a big meal here in BKK...

Other than that, I am qutie taken by the recent Wall's ice-cream product, The Moo-Moo ice cream :) It's Chocolate and milk flavour together in cow pattern. Very lovely indeed :d

Not eaten Haagan Daaz for long, but just tried the dessert in a Japanese dessert house.

Soft Mocha and vanilla sundae served with seaweed jelly, mochi and fruits. Drizzled with their so called black honey (which taste like gula melaka to me... :P)and it was a sinful indulgence to be shared by 2 person. Yums...not so sweet. Loved it.

I'm with Sue, I just want the Lick 'Em dude. You gotta admit Ice Cream is a source of good calcium - good for the ...um... bones. LOL!
Nevermind. Just eat it. No. that's not what I meant. God forbid BBB should eat ice-cream. I say you've moved up in the world! Good on you Paul.

When I was just a wee lad, my aunt bought my siblings and I a big Earthquake at Swensens. I had never seen so much ice cream before in my life.... Everthing looked so big back then. In my mind, Subang Parade was the size of MidValley.

I don't think Haagen Dazs is worth the dosh. I can live with Baskin Robbins (Jamocha Almond Fudge) and NZ Natural.

I'm with you on the french pastries g_c - croissants, choux pastry with fresh cream, mmmm. I've never seen any that look too good to eat though :)

Although, I do like ice cream too. Nothing wrong with vanilla, btw, if it's made with *real* vanilla :p
