Gay vibes

You always assume you know the guys you're working with but sometimes you start to wonder.

I certainly did today. I have made some mention of my colleagues at work sporadically here and there... guys that are close to me such as Tiny Tim and Tina, Shameless Shalom... We've worked together for a couple of years - and with all the trials and tribulations we've been through, it has only brought us closer together. Although I'm friendly with most of my colleagues at work, it's not easy getting close to all of them, especially those who joined the department much later than I did.

SteamingThere's a much younger guy that I know, a guy two ( or was it three ) years younger than me who joined not too long ago. Handsome Hui's an affable, good-old-boy type but kinda quiet and secretive which makes it hard for a gregarious guy like me to get to know him. Slim, attractive with dimples - if you like the sort :) I took the time today though to take him out for a bite of the infamous beef noodle I once mentioned.

Nothing like the steaming spices of the beef soup to loosen up the taciturn tongue of his. Oddly enough throughout the conversation ( I can be quite the interrogator when I put my mind to it ), I started getting some pretty strong gay vibes from him. Perhaps it was wishful thinking on my part... but a guy who brings his granny around for trips, hardly ever mentions a girlfriend ( and denies having on anyway ), goes to the gym with a bunch of buddies to stay fit...

A card-carrying member of the Gay Luck Club?

Were the vibes just from the way he was opening up in conversation with you? Or was he drooling whenever one of those Myanmar waiters passed by?

The way you describe your workplace makes me want to become a doctor as well.

Lucky you to have handsome man giving gay vibes at your workplace. How come I sense no gay vibe at all in my workplace?!Although there are some good looking men here so at least there's candy for the eyes, but damn, I wish some of them would just give me THE VIBE!

What is with with gays and the gym! It seems FF (hee hee Faggot First) at John Hancock is the watering hole of gays in the Bangsar/Damansara/Petaling Jaya area!

By the way, Paul, how can you tell a guy is gay by just his looks or how he behave?

Yeah, tell us, Paul ?! How does this gaydar thing work anyway..I mean, I'm still studying, even I have never get any gay vibes from the peeps in college.. ;-p

It's a vibe, guys - kinda a feeling. Not even sure my rusty gaydar's working all that well lately. So, I can't tell you how to judge either.

Well, Ru, it was from what he said actually. I mean reasonably straight guys don't normally try to brush aside the fact that they're dating girls, do they.. nor do they insist that they don't have a girlfriend.. that was kinda weird. And he did make a small mention about the waiters :)

Use the patented Will Method of Faggot-Finding!

Ask if he likes watching lesbian porn, you've got a stash at home.

This handsome hui sounds like a good catch.

Looking forward to more of him. And hope you are spot on, Paul, about him being gay.

Doubt he's gay but I'm gonna try the lesbian porn stash on him one of these days.

Yeah, the lack of girlfriend and the gym buddies are still kind of inconclusive evidence. :o\

Maybe next time you ask Hui out for lunch, you should just ask him if he wants to do beef noodles and cute waiters again. :o)
